🚨 Stoked Cross Country Pre-season is here! 🚨
Pre-season is designed for all riders preparing for the coming SoCal League season. We’re also beyond stoked to launch Mid-City Composite (MCC), our brand-new high school mountain bike team powered by Ride Krew!
🤔 What’s a composite team?
A composite team allows riders from multiple schools, within set boundaries. That means if you’re a student in Mid-County San Diego, a homeschooler, or at a private school, you’re eligible to join us for race season as long as you live inside our boundaries.
📍 MCC Boundaries
From Alpine to the east → Tierrasanta to the north → Mission Bay to the west → National City to the South
If you live outside these boundaries and want to race after Stoked pre-season, no problem! We’ll refer you to the correct team based on your location. There’s a ton of great options and awesome teams in town!

Sprockids San Diego Cornering Fundamentals Clinic
Join us for the Sprockids Cornering Fundamentals Clinic, where riders will learn to safely and confidently corner their bikes through flat and berm turns!! Set in a park environment, this clinic offers a progressive approach to cornering with drills, games, and fun activities to master the fundamentals of cornering on two wheels.
What We’ll Cover:
- Safety Basics: Reviewing bike safety, including the ABC (Air, Brakes, Chain) check, and ensuring proper helmet fit.
- Core Skills Refresher: Reinforcing the three mountain biking essentials, neutral and ready positions, and body positioning.
Participants should have a solid understanding of these foundational skills, as they will build upon them in this clinic.
Your Rider Will Learn:
- Control Techniques: Steering vs leaning, body rotation, directional focus.
- Body Position: Mastering a low, centered and pedals level position for maximum traction.
- Pressure Control: Learning how to control pressure to weight and unweight the bike.
- Cornering Mechanics: Practicing proper body mechanics through entry, apex and exit of a corner.
Who Can Join?
This clinic is designed for intermediate to advanced riders aged 8+ with confident bike handling skills. Previous completion of a Sprockids Fundamentals I & II clinic or our After School Program is recommended. If your rider is new to Sprockids and you’re unsure if this clinic is a fit, please contact us to discuss.
What to Bring:
Please ensure your rider arrives prepared with the following:
- A recently serviced mountain bike.
- Double-check the chain, brakes, and tire air pressure to ensure everything is in top working order.
- A snug, properly fitted helmet for safety.
- Closed-toe sneakers and athletic, weather-appropriate clothing.
- A water bottle and a light snack for breaks.
Well-fed and hydrated riders enjoy the clinic the most, so please make sure your rider is ready!
We’re excited to help your rider soar to new heights—see you soon!
