¡Aprende a andar en bicicleta!

Pasear en bicicleta es ¡muy divertido! y queremos ayudar a todos a disfrutar de esta increíble actividad al aire libre en la que el aprendizaje y la diversión serán para toda la vida. Estamos encantados de contar con un grupo de entrenadores recién capacitados que están emocionados por ayudar a su niño(a) a aprender a andar en bicicleta. Estos entrenadores se encuentran en la fase final de su certificación y necesitan ciclistas jóvenes con quienes practicar y aplicar los conocimientos aprendidos. ¡Les presentamos una oportunidad única!

 

En esta clínica con duración de dos horas se enseña paso a paso como aprender a andar en bicicleta confiablemente. A través de actividades entretenidas que refuerzan los conocimientos y habilidades aprendidas, ¡tendremos a todos rodando en muy poco tiempo! Aprender a pedalear y controlar la bicicleta le dará la confianza necesaria a cada ciclista para arrancar y detenerse, maniobrar la bicicleta para superar obstáculos y mucho más. Nuestros métodos de instrucción únicos, divertidos y comprobados ayudarán a todos a experimentar la alegría de andar en bicicleta.

Esta sesión provee:

  • Entrenamiento personalizado: el niño(a) recibirá instrucción práctica de entrenadores capacitados específicamente para enseñar a niños a andar en bicicleta. 
  • Entorno seguro: las sesiones de entrenamiento tienen como enfoque principal la seguridad del ciclista garantizando así que el niño(a) aprenda a andar en bicicleta con confianza. 
  • Una experiencia divertida: el niño(a) aprenderá a andar en bicicleta de una forma divertida y libre de estrés.

Los participantes deberán presentarse con sus propias bicicletas sin ruedas de entrenamiento (llantitas). Los participantes deben poder sentarse en el asiento de sus bicicletas con los pies apoyados en el suelo. 

Este evento está abierto a todos los niños mayores de 4 años. Es posible que se requiera el apoyo del adulto acompañante para niños de entre 4-12 años de edad. Se recomienda vestir apropiadamente, usar zapatos cerrados, traer hidratación (bolsa o botella de agua), un bocadillo y sobre todo, actitud positiva.

Riding a bike is SO MUCH FUN and we want to help everyone enjoy this amazing, lifelong, outdoor activity!  This one day clinic provides a step-by-step process on how to confidently ride a bike.  Through engaging activities teaching and reinforcing skills we’ll have everyone rolling in no time!  Our friendly professional coaching staff in combination with a small coach to rider class ratio will help to overcome fears and teach important skills.  Learning the skills of paddling and wiggling will get every rider on the way to confidently start and stop, understand how to maneuver bikes around obstacles, and much more! Our fun, unique, and proven instruction methods will help everyone experience the joy of riding a bike!

Participants for this clinic should arrive with their own bike without training wheels.  Rider should be able to sit on the seat with their feet flat on the ground. The event is open to everyone age 4+.  For riders 4-12 years old, an accompanying adult may be needed to support their rider throughout the clinic.  Also, don’t forget hydration (water bottle or hydration pack) and a small snack.

PARENTS: Mom and Dad, do you need help learning to ride a bike as well?  Great news, we will teach you alongside your child!  Please sign yourself up as well. 

EQUIPMENT: Weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes, hydration (water bottle or hydration pack), a small snack, and a fun positive attitude!

The Sprockids San Diego Fundamentals I clinic teaches off-road skills and essential technique through drills, games, and fun activities.

Your rider will learn: bike safety and how to conduct an ABC bike check, importance of a properly fit helmet and a helmet check, about bike components and equipment, the three mountain bike essentials, what neutral and ready position are and how and when to use them, proper bike body positioning and separation, shifting gears and how to brake effectively. Skills are taught in a playful environment using our obstacles and playing games while on the bike!

This clinic is suitable for riders aged 7+ that are comfortable riding their bikes off-road.

Please come ready with a geared mountain bike that has a wheel size of 20″ or greater and is recently serviced and functional. Don’t forget to double check the chain, brakes and tire air pressure. Wear a properly fitted helmet (snug is important), closed toe sneakers and athletic clothing that is safe to ride in and weather appropriate. Well fed and hydrated riders tend to have the most fun! Please bring a bike mounted water bottle or hydration pack and a light snack.

Parents can participate in our clinics and learn alongside your child. The same skill, equipment and bike requirements stated above apply for parents and you must also book yourself a ticket.

This two-part clinic is being held over two weekends, allowing participants to build upon their skills and progress in their off-road biking journey.

Your rider will learn the entirety of bike fundamentals, including bike safety and conducting an ABC bike check, the importance of a properly fit helmet and helmet check, bike components and equipment, the three mountain bike essentials, neutral and ready positions, proper bike body positioning and separation, shifting gears, effective braking techniques, steering and cornering, safely getting on and off the bike on hills, ratcheting, riding switchbacks, wheel lifts, and more!

Skills are taught in a playful environment using obstacles and games to make the learning experience enjoyable and engaging.

Our small coach to rider class ratio ensures personalized attention and support for each rider, allowing them to build confidence and develop a solid foundation of off-road biking skills.

These clinics are suitable for riders aged 7+ who are comfortable riding their bikes off-road.

Please ensure that your rider arrives prepared for the clinic with the following:

  • A geared mountain bike with a wheel size of 20″ or greater that has been recently serviced and is in functional condition.

  • Wears a properly fitted helmet that is snug for optimal safety.
  • Wears closed toe sneakers and athletic clothing that is safe and suitable for riding.
  • Make sure your rider is well-fed and hydrated before the clinic, as riders who are nourished and hydrated tend to have the most fun!
  • Has a bike mounted water bottle or hydration pack to stay hydrated during the clinic.
  • Don’t forget to bring a light snack to keep your rider’s energy levels up during the session.
