Special Event ~ Qualcomm Family Ride

Sprockids is honored to have been chosen to receive a grant award during the Qualcomm SDGEC Event! We are looking forward to hosting this special family ride for the Qualcomm community and it’s families. Thank you for your support!

Join us with your young riders as we explore the local trail system! This is a beginner ride. Our guides will lead the adventure through Rancho Penasquitos Preserve exploring the area’s  fun and flowy single track!

Participants for this ride should be comfortable riding off-road on undulating terrain. A geared mountain bike with hand brakes is required. Expect to pedal 4-6 miles with slight elevation changes over the course of the ride. Family rides are open to riders ages 7+ with at least 24″ wheels.

This event is held at the Los Penasquitos Ranch House and the surrounding trail system.

PARENTS: This is an event for you to ride alongside your young shredder, please book a ticket for yourself as well.

EQUIPMENT: Geared mountain bike with hand brakes, weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes, bike mounted water bottle or hydration pack, snack and a fun positive attitude!

Sprockids San Diego is excited to bring a new mountain bike program to San Diego youth! Built for our progressive riders that are 12+ years old we are thrilled to present Stoked MTB!

Ride Krew is fired up to launch our third season of the Stoked Gravity Race Program (formerly Stoked Enduro).

We’re racing: Team Big Bear Kenda Cup Vail Enduro, Southridge, Bootleg Canyon, Sea Otter, USA Nationals with select Youth Enduro Series, California Enduro and Monster Energy series races.

Season Practice Schedule

  • Tue 5–6 PM: Conditioning

  • Thu 5–7 PM: Downhill Training

  • Sat Downhill Training (venue-based)

  • Sun 8–11 AM: Enduro Training

Important Details

  • Spots are limited to 30 racers. If registration fills, add yourself to the waitlist and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

  • Race registrations, travel and lodging, jersey and team photo are not included in the season fee.

Stoked XC – SoCal League Race Season

Stoked XC – SoCal League Race Season

The Stoked XC Race Season is here! Our Mid-City Composite (MCC) team, powered by Ride Krew, will race in all 5 SoCal League races.

🏫 Who Can Join

MCC is a composite team, meaning riders from multiple schools within our boundaries can join — including homeschoolers and private school students.

Boundaries: Alpine (east) → Tierrasanta (north) → Mission Bay (west) → National City (south)
If you’re outside this area, we’ll help connect you with a team near you.

  • Must be in 6th – 12th grade.

💥 Why Join

This isn’t your typical race program. Backed by Ride Krew’s professional coaches, we focus on community, confidence, and fun — welcoming everyone from first-time racers to seasoned riders.


🧭 What You’ll Learn

We cover everything from bike basics to race strategy:
cornering, downhill mindset, line selection, and more. Each practice includes instruction, demonstration, and cool down, ensuring new skills are taught and reinforced every time.

Dates: Dec 1 – April 13, 2026 (State Champs NOT included)
Practices: Mon & Thu, 5–6:30 PM @ East Fortuna Staging Area

💲 Additional Fees

A $375 SoCal League race fee covers all 5 races (State not included), paid directly to the SoCal League.

Tustin ~ Fundamentals I & II

Ride Krew Fundamentals I & II Clinics
Our Ride Krew Fundamentals I & II clinics provide a comprehensive two-part program designed to build essential off-road biking skills. Held over two weekends, these clinics help riders progress in their biking journey through engaging drills, games, and activities that make learning fun and effective!

What Your Rider Will Learn: In these clinics, riders will cover all the essentials, including:

  • Bike Safety: Conducting an ABC (Air, Brakes, Chain) bike check.
  • Helmet Fit: Understanding the importance of a properly fitted helmet and how to perform a helmet check.
  • Bike Components & Equipment: Learning about bike parts and essential gear.
  • Core Techniques: Mastering the three mountain bike essentials, neutral and ready positions, proper body positioning, and effective separation.
  • Advanced Skills: Practicing gear shifting, braking techniques, steering and cornering, mounting and dismounting on hills, ratcheting, switchbacks, wheel lifts, and more!

All skills are taught in a supportive, playful environment using obstacles and games to make learning enjoyable and engaging. With a small coach-to-rider ratio, each rider receives personalized attention to build confidence and develop a solid foundation.

Who Can Join? These clinics are ideal for riders aged 7+ who feel comfortable riding off-road.

What to Bring:

  • A recently serviced mountain bike with a 20″ or larger wheel size and working gears.
  • A properly fitted helmet (snug fit is important).
  • Closed-toe sneakers and athletic, weather-appropriate clothing.
  • A bike-mounted water bottle or hydration pack and a light snack.

Well-fed and hydrated riders get the most out of our clinic, so please ensure your rider is fueled up!

Vail Lake ~ Cornering Fundamentals Clinic

Sprockids San Diego Cornering Fundamentals Clinic
Join us for the Sprockids Cornering Fundamentals Clinic, where riders will learn to safely and confidently corner their bikes through flat and berm turns!! Set in a park environment, this clinic offers a progressive approach to cornering with drills, games, and fun activities to master the fundamentals of cornering on two wheels.

What We’ll Cover:

  • Safety Basics: Reviewing bike safety, including the ABC (Air, Brakes, Chain) check, and ensuring proper helmet fit.
  • Core Skills Refresher: Reinforcing the three mountain biking essentials, neutral and ready positions, and body positioning.

Participants should have a solid understanding of these foundational skills, as they will build upon them in this clinic.

Your Rider Will Learn:

  • Control Techniques: Steering vs leaning, body rotation, directional focus.
  • Body Position: Mastering a low, centered and pedals level position for maximum traction.
  • Pressure Control: Learning how to control pressure to weight and unweight the bike.
  • Cornering Mechanics: Practicing proper body mechanics through entry, apex and exit of a corner.

Who Can Join?
This clinic is designed for intermediate to advanced riders aged 8+ with confident bike handling skills. Previous completion of a Sprockids Fundamentals I & II clinic or our After School Program is recommended. If your rider is new to Sprockids and you’re unsure if this clinic is a fit, please contact us to discuss.

What to Bring:
Please ensure your rider arrives prepared with the following:

  • A recently serviced mountain bike.
    • Double-check the chain, brakes, and tire air pressure to ensure everything is in top working order.
  • A snug, properly fitted helmet for safety.
  • Closed-toe sneakers and athletic, weather-appropriate clothing.
  • A water bottle and a light snack for breaks.

Well-fed and hydrated riders enjoy the clinic the most, so please make sure your rider is ready!

Vista ~ Learn To Ride (ADULT Clinic)

Riding a bike is an incredible, lifelong adventure, and we’re here to make sure everyone can experience the joy of it!

 Our one-day clinic guides riders through a step-by-step process for confidently learning to ride. Using engaging activities that build and reinforce essential skills, we’ll have you rolling smoothly in no time! With a friendly, professional coaching team and a small coach-to-rider ratio, we create a supportive environment that helps riders overcome fears while developing important techniques. Our fun, proven methods ensure everyone leaves with the confidence and excitement to ride!

Clinic Details:

  • What to Bring: Riders should bring their own bike without training wheels. Riders must be able to sit with feet flat on the ground.
  • Who Can Join: This clinic is for ages 18+
  • Bring Along: Weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, water (bottle or hydration pack), and a small snack (optional).
